In this group assignment, we were needed to produce a report regarding the type of roofs, type of windows, type of doors and type of stairs that exist in any one of the shopping centers in KL that we have chosen. As for our group, there are five of us, Albert, Mok Po Yi, Ng Seng He, Hor Weng Lim and I. We chose Sunway Pyramid as our site. Before starting off with the report, we had planned and visited to Sunway Pyramid. We went there to observe as of which type of roofs, windows, doors and stairs that exist in that particular building. We took pictures of all of them and also measured the dimension of the doors by using measuring tape and jotting them down so that it can be included in our report.

From our findings, there are three type of roofs that Sunway Pyramid has which are dome, pyramid and flat. Furthermore, the type of doors that exist in Sunway Pyramid are swinging single door, swinging double door, surface sliding double door and pocket sliding double door. We have found out that most of the swinging double doors are fire-rated to meet the most demanding fire safety standards. In addition, the windows that exist in Sunway Pyramid are all fixed. Whereas for the stairs, there are quarter-turn curving concrete stairs, half-turn fire escape stairs and self-supporting quarter-turn steel stairs.

In conclusion, I've learned to identify and explain types of roofs, windows, doors and stairs that exist in a building. Last but not least, I've also learned the importance of teamwork in producing this assignment.
