Lecturer : Ms. Law Chun Mooi, Mr. Chee Wai Meng and Sr. Loi Ming Ong

 

 

This is a 6 credit hour module that conducted over a period of 14 weeks. The modes of delivery will be in the form of lectures, tutorials, and self-directed study. The module is taught by Ms. Laura, Mr. Chee and Mr. Loi.

The chapters which taught by Ms. Laura were Sanitary Plumbing, Cold Water Plumbing, Electrical Services, Air-cond Services and Fire-protection. Whereas for Mr. Chee, he taught us on civil engineering works. Those civil engineering works include environmental protection and enhancement, traffic management and control, site investigation work, demolition and site clearance, earthworks, geotechnical work, concrete work and rail track. As for Mr. Desmond, he taught us on Glodon.

From this module, I've learned to recognise the items measurable for civil engineering and building services. Furthermore, able to read and understand the drawings and measure them based on the drawings with labelling for easy reference. Not only that, I'm able to evaluate the relationship between Specifications, Drawings and Bill of Quantities in Tender Documents for building services and civil engineering works.
