GROUP ASSIGNMENT 

Cost Appraisal

 

This group assignment constitutes 30% of the total assessment. As a part of an established Multidisciplinary group of consultants. The client is a developer from Singapore and he wants to invest in a piece of land in Kuala Lumpur. He has paid us for our services to come up with a Cost Plan for him.

Therefore, in a group of 8, we were needed to work out a cost plan for him based on the information provided. We were needed to show our breakdown of the cost appraisal and justify our assumptions when asked at the Q&A session in class. Moreover, required to prepare our presentation slides and report for this assignment. We have came up with a benchmark projects to justify the cost of the building as well as prepared an A3 size sheet which includes our detailed cost appraisal, showing quantity and rates.

Through this assignment, it really gave me a clear picture of what a cost plan is. My group mates and I definitely have done a good job in this assignment. We were proud that we possessed good work quality throughout this assignment. Of course, this project enhances our critical thinking as well by answering the questions that have been asked by Ms. Dianne on the presentation day. To be honest, I really learnt a lot from this assignment.
