ASSIGNMENT 2- VIDEO

Superstructure

This group assignment stands 20% of the total assessment. We were divided in a group of 5. Our group members are Hwang Wei Li, Aishath, Liu Wei Qian, Ngeow Xuan Ying and I. Our group did a video that focuses on the superstructure of a building. We’ve also included some of the processes on how they are constructed in the video. We had visited the site and shot the video together. It was an amazing exposure to the construction industry as we get to explore and learn the construction procedures on site. 

 

After all the discussion of ideas and brainstorming session with my groupmates, we were able to finish the video and submit on time. We edited video together, created script together and let every one of us be the narrator. I’m so glad that I have the opportunity to work with them. I definitely learned a lot from them. Furthermore, we get to explain how the diaphragm wall, slab ,column and beam are constructed. We also included some of the elements that can be seen from the site for instance, stater bar, wire mesh, scaffolding, elevator pit, piping and ventilation shaft in detailed with the guidance of the site manager. A good experience indeed !
