ASSIGNMENT 2 

GROUP COURSEWORK

 

We were assigned to write a report for this assignment. It constitutes 15% of the total assessment. We were divided in a group of 6 and were needed to prepare a Final Account as the consulting Quantity Surveyor for an apartment project based on PAM Form of Contract 2006 (With Quantities). We were given 3 questions.

 

(1)  Prepare a report to director, explaining briefly the adjustments of the essential elements in your preparation of this project's final account.

(2)  Assess the application and prepare the Final Account for the apartment project based on various variations and adjustments made to the Contract Sum.

(2)  Explain the basis on how various variations may be finalised and priced during the Final Account stage.

 

My group mates were Doreen, Kong, Po Yi, Sing Yew, Jie Qi and I. After several discussion, we suggested that 2 students do 1 question out of 3 questions given. As for me, Jie Qi and I were responsible for question 2, we calculated and prepared a Final Account and eventually came out with a final contract value.

 

Through this assignment, it really gave me some knowledge on final account. My group mates and I really done a good job in this assignment. We were glad that we were able to meet the deadline of this assignment. We were well prepared for this assignment after all.
